1621 is a semi-private health, social and athletic club. During it's inception, 1621 tasked Captive with creating a world-class brand for their world-class experience. Charged with finding the intersection between athletics, performance, and as a private club, secret society vibes–the name was simply derived from its address. Captive was able to interweave traditional athletic symbology and colour with a contemporary athletic lifestyle stylization. We further enhanced the secret society vibes through our clever integration of an ambigram in all variations of the logo.
