1621 is a semi-private health, social and athletic club. They tasked Captive to create a world-class brand for a world-class experience. Charged with finding the intersection of athletics and performance (while conjuring speak easy vibes) Captive interwove traditional athletic iconography and colour with a contemporary athletic lifestyle stylization.
Further to this approach, Captive created a brand platform that pushed marketing collateral into the physical space with hidden treasures that feature an ambigram logo and a key message that evokes it's own double meaning once spoken.
